Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today attended the 56th AEM – 22nd ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Consultation in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
The Meeting discussed the private sector’s recommendations, focusing on stimulating trade and investment in emerging sectors, leveraging digital transformation as a catalyst for change and innovation, facilitating a green transition for sustainable development.
Since 2003, ASEAN-BAC has been serving as ASEAN’s apex private sector body in the region and the voices of private sector to contribute to ASEAN’s efforts towards regional economic integration. Aside from providing private sector’s feedback on the implementation of ASEAN regional economic initiatives, the ASEAN-BAC also identifies priority areas for consideration by the ASEAN Leaders.
